Can you put tint over tint?

answer to question 1.no you can not!... if you want good result's you have to razorblade clean the windows... you can not remove some of the stuff with any window cleaner...... you will have hella bubbles...... and it will look stupid....
This is going to depend on three very important things:

1. The quality and type of the tint film.

2. The quality of the cleaner used to do a thorough job.

3. The quality of the work performed by the tint installer.

it is possible.... but getting youre edges right is a difficult task!! just do it right the first time instead of beating around the bush.

U can do it. Who cares what the law is? My back windows are 5% over 15.

im not worried about getting pulled over...... i have awsome lawyer. ( mother's boyfriend hehe ) and i use the excuss of bad eye's.... plus if i absolutely have to remove it.. i just go back to my shop and re-tint...

too bad that excuse doesnt work for spelling/grammar...

and if youre eyes are bad already, then how does dark, nearly impossible tint help... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

and i will agree with you about doing it right the first time, but all your other excuses seem pretty far from being correct. putting tint over tint is fine, as long as you clean the subsurface and use wuality materials and proper techniques.

and if the question is going over factory tint, then no doubt you are fine, seeing as that is tinted glass, not tint film.

Yes you can it just needs to dry about twice as long and its a bit more difficult to do. my buddy rolls with 2 layers of 5% tint on his truck. and no he has no problem rolling down his windows tint isnt that thick 2 layers shouldn't make a difference.

i doubt you would wanna do that. it'll make the window too thick and it won't go down. just take the old off.
as far as the windshield being tinted, good luck. check your local laws

Classic example of 'talking out of your ***'

I have done tint over tint for over 10 years and never had a problem as long as it is done correctly usually when I go for example I got 50% on my front windows, did not like it so I went back a few days later got another layer of 50% and it matches the back great.

Not sure how you add it up but he told me the two layers come out to like 30-35% but I dunno as long as it matches.
