im taking an mecp class at a local shop and they have a company van with 9 12's in it...i asked how many amps he's got hooked up to run all those 12s. he said calmly...ONE..lol i was like whatttt...so he showed me, it's a mono orion amp and its powering 9 12's...i couldnt ****in believe it

I've seen 24 10's locally off of 1 amp, I believe they were strapped down to .5 ohms running off a 5000w amp(not sure who made it)

In fact running subs off of one amp simplifies a lot of things. All subs will sound tonally the same + phase difference will be kept at minimum + less wring without distribution blocks and fuses, ect...

I am assuming this guy who started the thread is a young fellow with no involvment in competition systems so I guess this kind of system would be intriguing to him. To the thread proprietor: You should start competing or go to locals comps!

yea u got that one right i dont know if u wanna consider me young ,im 19, and i sure the hell don't know too much about car stereo thats y im taking this class and...never been to a competition, so the van is probably the craziest shit i ever seen in person

You still haven't told us the power handling of the subs ... Could be a perfect match, over power or under powered.
