hey, this is comming directly from kicker. i used to have L7's and thats what kicker says. i imagine it simply stiffins the sorrounds, and therefore is slightly more fragile. as for the dif between ported and not, i assume its cause a port will **** in the fresh cold air...maybe???

They could just be spreading bad information, like any one of several myths floating around audio today.

come on, now your just being schizo. it may not be true, but i could definatly see it being bad if its a severly cold climate. like alaska or some shit
