Can two Amp be connected to 1 sub?

I'm new at this and I have no idea if this is posible, I need a upgraded to a CVR15

and I need to know if that is possible?

If so the Sub has to be 2 voice coil right?

one more thing if you asking yourself why two amp on 1 sub? the reason is becasue I have a amp already and planing two get me another one sell my CVR12 and get me a CVR15

some amps are strappable or you can wire each amp to each coil. however you need to be careful running each amp to each coil and judging by your post, i don't think you should do that

If you end up with 2 non-strappable amps just wire one to each coil and match the gains with a dmm.

I would not recommend this guy to use one amp on each voice coil.

Probably blow something up.

In a couple of months...Hifonics will have some strapping modules available. They're claimed to be able to strap any 2 amps together...which will be awesome.
