Can the Hifonics ZXi 8010 handle 4-ohm loads on the full range channels and 2-ohms on the sub channel at the same time?
New to the forum, just a quick question. thanks!
Have you read the specs booklet yet/or even downloaded the free specs? You can run that amp mixed stereo/mono operation, but i myself did not go into detail as far as ohm load for the sub ch.to be lower than 4ohms

It says the fifth channel can handle 2 ohm loads. (Did I read it wrong?)

My question is if I can run four 4-ohm speakers on the first 4 channels, and two 12" subs (final impedance of those subs together is 2-ohms) all at the same time on that one amplifier?

Okay, I'll bite. If you're going to get rear speakers, get the same ones (model type, doesn't have to be the same size) that you have up front...

I would keep the amp you have and keep the components. Place the components in some universal door pods, and look at getting a powered SAS 8"...

A 6 channel and a single sub amp would be my choice. Or a 2ch, 4ch and a sub amp. You don't need 2 channels for subs.
