Can my kicker buck up and take it?

I just bought a kicker Zx300.1 from a friend of mine, I know Kickers aren't 1 ohm stable, but I wanted to know if anyone has wired a kicker to 1 ohm just for fun, to see how it would do.

It's hooked up to an alpine type R 12" that is wired at 4 ohms right now.

I don't have the money to fry an amp but I want to get more power out of it than its giving at 4 ohms if possible so is it a terrible idea or should I go with it?

Just sell the amp to some noob and buy a better 1ohm stable amp that does around 600-1000wrms.
Nice. The sad part is, in my area kicker stuff is like gold, these kids will pay anything for it if it's kicker, boss, or probox

It saddens me to live around such noobery

I actually plan to buy a much more powerful and 1 ohm stable amp soon, I just want to see if this thing can do it. I want an audioque 1200, once I buy that I might just wire this Zx300.1 to 1 ohm and run it till it frys...THEN sell it to some noob

Uh, that's the point. If the kids **** cock for Kicker, sell it at the same price you could buy a AQ 1200D for.

highly doubt he could get 250$ for a zx300.1. ive seen kicker zx750.1 and zx1000.1s go for nothing higher than 250$ on dfw craigslist.

but i would recommend him trade the 2 ohm sub for a 4 ohm and wire that to a 2 ohm load until he gets thew aq1200

If I trade my sub for a 4 ohm then I'm going to end up not very happy once I get the aq1200 and am only pulling like 800 watts hahaha

If you want to trade that sub of yours for my type R until I get the AQ I'm cool with that bro, I just don't wanna hear any "no gives backsys" later lol
