I have a JVC KD-R210 that has 2 RCA out puts- I run the RCA wires to my AMP and then from the AMP(in the trunk) to my door speakers and read deck speakers??? can it be this simple? this is an old 64 Falcon we are talking about, thanks in advance

No you need a power wire, remote wire, and ground. Sounds like you have only 2 outputs from the headunit which means you can either power your fronts or your rears, but not both. Well technically you can with Y Splitters, but Id advice against it.

And why is that? Nothing wrong with Y-splitters at all, and most amps these days have internal circuitry to double the signal to all speakers in the case that only one RCA is used.

Lulz. You lose all L/R or Front/Rear balancing depending on how you setup your splitters.

depends...is it a 4 channel? you could still "fade" by setting your front or rear gains...you'd just lose the ability from the deck...which I don't think is that big of a deal

Not necessarily. Alot of people are to lazy and cut the wires rather than find the appropriate allen key.
