Can I use two amps parallel?

Hello,

Now my two Type R 1222d is wired @ 2Ohms, powered by Alpine MRD-M1005 @ 2Ohms.

Like this:

If I would get another amp for subs can I wire amps like this(parallel)?

What would be effect if I would wire amps like this?

I don't want to use one amp for one sub because I can get only 1 or 4Ohms and my amp is not stable on 1Ohm

No, you'd have to get a pair of strappable amps to do something similar...

Now you could buy 1 more and wire them to 4 ohms for around 700 watts each, or you could sell that and find a mono amp that could put out 2k watts @...err 2 ohms.

...hmm they're only supposed to handle 500 watts rms, so just get one more amp, and wire them at 4 ohms, with the coils in a series...you shouldn't be dissapointed

i would buy a different amp and sell that 1 for what your trying to achieve

What he is trying to achieve is melting his coils. even if the ratings were conservative on the coils and too high on the amps, he still maybe pushing it a little bit.

1 more amp and wire them at 4 ohms wont be bad at all, but if you are looking to upgrade the subs anyways a 2k watt amp @ .5 ohms or 2 ohms is your best bet.

Maybe I will buy one more amp or will sell mrd and buy better amp which has 1.5-2kW @ 2Ohms...

But cheap 2kW amps isn't very good in SQ I think.. I need more Watts only in SPL competitions which are few times per year //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , for daily one mrd is enough for me.

Maybe the best choise is to buy anoher mrd so I could use both amps and subs @ 4Ohms and have good sound quality...
