Can I use this for my home setup?

I have a directed studio 10" sub that was in my civic when I bought it, and I was wondering if it can be used in home theater?

I am just starting to become interested in this, so I dont know much about it.

No.

Get a plate amp, Parts Express or Apex Jr. sells them.

99% of receivers do not have a sub amp installed in them.

But get a good plate amp and then run the 'rca' out for the sub from the receiver into the plate amp and you sould be in like sin.
