I need some guidance and to be pointed in the right direction. I have a 2003 Chevy silverado, under the backseat I have two Sundown SA - 12s in a sealed box where the subs face downwards with an AQ 1200 Watt amp. The reduction of space for my box works well, I have two inch spacers under my box so my subs don't hit the floor when it hits. For my electrical system, I have all upgraded 0 Gauge wiring and a JY audio lithium secondary battery for power.
So essentially, these SA 12's are rated at 750 RMS a piece. On top of that they are under rated and I have heard of people throwing 1000 watts rms each to the subs. My AQ 1200 watt amp will power each of my subs to 600 watt rms a piece..
If I upgraded to a Twisted audio 1.8k amp, will that give me a noticeable change in power and bass? I know my AQ isn't powering these subs to their full potential but does it matter to power them more since they are in a sealed truck box?
