Can i swap baskets?

Hi, posting this to try to help my roommate as he is huge into car audio, but neither of us know much about it.

So he has this huge *** subwoofer, supposidly supposed to be around 4000w (Says the guy he bought it from), but when he was in the process of looking for a box it would fit into, he broke part of the basket. So, questions are, What kind of sub is this? and can we either (a) Fix the broken part of the basket, or (b) find a new basket for it and swap. (The grey stuff you see is JB weld he put on it...

You have to cut out the soft parts and check the bolt pattern on the top of the motor and change the basket you shoul be able to use a 12 spoke basket but either way you'll have to swap baskets and do a recone. If you run the subs as is it will end up braking inside the box. It looks like a decent motor though so should make a nice recones sub

to be honest, the repair will cost more then the sub's worth, You'll be a lot better off buying a new sub with the money you put in.
