Can i smoke marijuana after I get my wisdom teeth pulled?

I wouldn't. The smoke can dissolve the clot, or the act of you smoking the joint (*******) can pull the clot out. If that happens, the odds of you getting a dry socket increase big time. A dry socket is essentially your bone being exposed to the surroundings, usually causing it to inflame due to infection. This is EXTREMELY painful. You seriously can't wait for a week? And no, a dentist doesn't tell you this just to fucking scare you, take it from a pharmacy student.

Just take all the pain medication you want man, but just hold off on smoking for a few days. Usually after the first 3 days, or whenever the swelling goes down, you can smoke, use a straw, eat hard food etc.

From a "is it going to hurt me" standpoint, more than likely not. I had two wisdom teeth surgically removed, lit a cigarette on the way out of the dentists office, then stopped by Burger King for a shake, which I drank through a straw. Seriously.

I guess there is always a chance for a dry socket, which is supposed to be an incredibly painful ordeal, but I didn't follow any directions after my wisdom teeth were removed and I had zero issues at all.

I'll elaborate. Not that I really care, but it is illegal. Smoking weed might cost you a great job one day due to a failed random drug test, most emplyers DO care that it's illegal. Weed isn't cheap, and it doesn't really get you high. I've smoked before, and I honestly couldn't tell that it did anything. Most of the effect is a placebo effect... studies have shown this. You are basically burning your money. If you HAVE to do drugs, do something that actually gets you "high." Unfortunately said drugs usually have pretty serious side effects, addiction and death being two of the bigger ones, and I definitely don't recommend using them either.
I am an advocate for legalizing marijuana, and all drugs for that matter. That doesn't mean I'm going to run out and do any of them if they are made legal. It will simply remove the criminal element from the drug trade, provide a source of revenue via taxes, and reduce the costs of drugs to the end user.

As an ex touring musician I'm no "goody two shoes." I've tried my share of drugs in my younger years, I still enjoy the occasional beer, and I smoke cigarettes. None of these are particularly bright ideas either, and I'm trying to stop the drinking and cigarettes... because I feel like they are both wasting money that could be put to better use somewhere else, like car audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Agreed. I've never smoked in my life but I like beer once in a while. From the government's standpoint, weed and alcohol are too alike to make one illegal and not the other. Either make both illegal (which people will still find ways of getting both) or legalize them and actually collect taxes on sales.

You sir seem to be a very educated, down to earth guy. I agree with most of what you said. However, i dont believe its a placeb. I smoke for cheap and i enjoy it. You are correct in the fact that smoking before looking into a job is not smart but im going to be a freshman in college so ive got plenty of time before that happens. I agree also with what you said about other drug, i believe they should all be legal because illegalizing drugs is against our constitution. However, i would not try any other drugs either. This is exactly why i asked you to elaborate. There are intelligent people who know the facts such as yourself and there are others filled up with governmental propaganda about drugs.
How is that against the constitution? Under that logic it's also unconstitutional for a speed limit on the highway and metal detectors in airports.

i dont think weed and alcohol are really alike at all

i dont know where u come from or who sold u fake weed, but the stuff i have in my area is most def not a placebo effect...tell me y a kid just hit our bong and puked and swore he was in hell until they put him in an insane asylum..i dont think a placebo did that lol....y dont u try some real weed and see what ur opinion is on that part of it
I've smoked probably the finest marijuana available, grown by a world renowned PhD in Botany and a professor at the University of Hawaii. In fact, that was the last time I smoked, and I only smoked because I expected something really special.

As always, nothing happened. Everybody else present got wasted, and agreed that it was the "best" marijuana they ever smoked.

Maybe it's a mental thing? Or maybe I'm somehow resistant to THC, kind of the opposite of the guy who took one bong hit and decided he was in hell and wound up in an insane assylum? Sounds like that might have been laced with PCP or something. As a general rule when people start talking about hell, the devil, etc. they got ahold of some PCP or meth.

I have smoked "fake" weed, and it does, indeed, get you very high. I've only smoked it a few times, but a lot of my friends who are smokers say it is much better than regular weed, and if hallucinations and loss of muscle control are your thing I'd suggest you find some online or at a local head shop and give it a try while it is still legal. They are pulling it from the shelves here in La next month from what I understand. I didn't really enjoy it, just not my thing, but it's definitely more potent than weed.

Anyway, more power to you guys who do smoke, I'm not trying to be Dad here. Just tossing in my 2 cents, for what it's worth, which is probably about 1 cent.

Any law that prevents you from exercising your freedom, as long as exercising your freedom causes harm to no one else, is an unconstitutional law. Therefore, drugs should be legal. By the same token, making it illegal to drive under the influence of said drugs would be completely constitutional, as exercising THAT freedom could harm others. Dig?

You need to read the constitution. Speed limits and metal detectors in airports limit your freedom in order to protect others, not to protect you from yourself.

are u a current heroin user, maybe its just not strong enough for u anymore

and if its truly a placebo and its all menta, then why would the government make it illegal. they have done numerous tests on it and if they found it was all just in peoples heads then im sure they would make it legal

your botanist friend must have grown a shitty strain.
Umm he's kinda world famous, in academic circles, and other circles as well. It's not like it was grown by Bubba out in the woods. He is a Doctor of Botany who teaches at University. I highly doubt there was anything shitty about what he grew... I guess I just have some sort of immunity to THC, plus I'm sure the fact that I go in to it with a mindset that it's mosly placebo effect probably doesn't help either.

Do you want me to apologize because I don't get high off of weed? lol

Like I said, if you enjoy it more power to you, I will be the first to vote to legalize it for you.

Marijuana is not illegal due to health issues, it's illegal due to various political issues and agendas. I won't go into them here, but if you use Google you can get a clearer picture as to why it's not legal.

I've stated it multiple times, I'll be first in line to vote to legalize "drugs" in the U.S.
