can i put a 6" woofer in the door??

i meant 6.5 inch subwoofer sorry,,, i have a chevy 2500HD, with 6.5 front door speakers, can i put a 6.5 woofer in the stock location or does it need to be in a box?

was thinking about puting a 6.5 woofer in the stock location and adding a 6.5 2 way speaker next to it...?? what do you think? does a dedicated woofer need to be in a box being that small/?
