Can I permanently ground the factor disarm wire . read inside

I bought a 97 mountaineer and all I have is the key. Anyways the factory antitheft is malfunctioning. At first it would just set off the alarm sometimes but I could start the car and it would stop. as of a few days ago the vehicle wouldn't even turn over with theft light flashing. So I looked up wiring diagram and grounded out the factory alarm disarm wire and there ya go it shut down the alarm and it starts. Now I was told every time I lock the vehicle it will rearm the alarm. Can I just screw down the ground and permanently ground it out or will this cause issues

With the electronics on here I must say I am slightly disappointed nobody has responded to this
