Ya I was disappointed, is it the fact they are square or L5/L7 that make them bad? Well I actually wouldn't call it bad SQ, the notes they can hit sound pretty solid.correct.
And yes you can.
All the ones I've seen had the subs facing the rear of the vehicle, never facing upwards so I thought I would ask.have you never seen a sub setup before???

Lots of ignorant misinformation being thrown around this thread, what is your box tuned to, how big, what vehicle, and what kind of power? All of these variables are part of the big equation. If you are underpowering an L7 in an improper enclosure and clipping the hell out of it, of course it will sound terrible. If your asking if its ok to fire your subs up then I'm not to confident in your ability to properly set gains and xovers, did you set them or someone else?Ya I was disappointed, is it the fact they are square or L5/L7 that make them bad? What are some good Subs with a superb Loud To SQ ratio for my next purchase down the road?
Tried to set them the best I could, but I gotta order some of the proper tools to do it. They are L5 btw. They are under powered (In parallel so they should be getting 66%ish each if they ever are using that much power) but that shouldn't make it not hit notes correct? Even If I have it low they don't hit the notes. I dunno how to tell what the box is tuned to, the shop I got them from made it, I guess I can ask them?Lots of ignorant misinformation being thrown around this thread, what is your box tuned to, how big, what vehicle, and what kind of power? Ah yes I have one in my photobucket, this is when I first brought them home, they are secured into the vehicle and painted black now.and yes subs up is fine.....can you get an actual picture of your setup?
Gotta give me a while to find the manual, I will have to ask the store what the boxes are, but I remember it looks exactly what the manual shows the box should look like, but I didn't measure to check if they were exact.Post the specs on your box , cubes, tuning freq, how much port area, and what your powering them with, also what size woofer.
