At first, I got annoyed because some people were saying...

SX's blow with xxx power. Period.

SX's don't sound good and can't take any power daily...period.

When MY personal experiences tend to go against that...as do MANY other people...but whatever. Go over to Termpro and tell people there that SX's can't take power...see how many people laugh at you.

Then, everyone and their mother recommending Type R's, no matter the occasion.

Like I told Steve earlier, as big of a fan of RE that I am, I didn't run around proclaiming RE in every thread possible.

BTW- this has been bugging me, if we are going to talk price vs. performance, which has been brought up quite a few times, let's not use the prices that are *****d out on Ebay...because that's retarded.

I'm starting to give up on this forum...there are plenty of cool people here, but there are too many jackasses that jump in on whatever and ride it. I've used every single line of RE woofers and I speak from experience when I recommend them. RE is a bandwagon...make fun of it. I don't care, have a ball. If you started a thread about RE, I'd either state my $.02 on the product, or just not even post. I wouldn't go in there and cry.

I know where you are coming from. The only problem is that nobody bashes/talks shit about RE. It's always proclamations. The reason i get pissed is because people make assinine remarks that they pull out of their *****, and have no real-world experience with the sub(s). Totally different ball games.

You have to see where I am coming from. Just imagine if every type-r thread/mentioning was RE instead. All the stupid threads were all RE threads. All the posts making fun of the type-r stuff was RE. How would that make you feel?

BTW, 10" type-r from best buy would set you back $160.

Go on Termpro...you'll find plenty of people who use them in both competition and daily driving with plenty of power on them and nothing but good things to say.
That's all I can really recommend anymore...

ok awesome i prob will go with the sx then cause this will be a reg cab truck and if i get the type r then ill have to prob seal it cause the box will be to small to port but with the sx its a lot smaller so i could prob still port it. i think the sx is like 250 so it wont be too much.

I think sometimes people get offended to quickly over insert brand here when people question them. Someone recommends getting this over what they have and people start to get all mad and say why dont you just recommend this sub or amp. Everyone likes different things thats why so many comapanies can stay in business. You search the web and take evrything with a grain of salt.

Umm, the SX or type-r need pretty similar boxes to be ported.....

And i guess you missed my and sblazer's separate threads were the SX got beat by the type-r....

And yes, it'll take upwards of 1000 RMS daily if you know what you are doing and don't clip the shit out of it. I'd say you try out the type-r first and see if you like it. Then you won't have to spend the extra money on a sub you don't really need.

Whats your reccomended smallest box size then for either of the subs?

well right now thats my only problem is space i thought if i had to id buy a (leather or vinyl so u can hear it better) bed cover and build a good sized box in the bed and mount it against the cab

And when i got with my sub i was gone wire it at 2 ohm first and only run 800 watts to it then re wire to the 1 ohm when i got used to working with it.

Basically i need sumone to explain or pm about what i need to do with my sub/amp/box as in which sub how big of box, where to put the box and how to wire the amp first.

hey tommy on your comp setup are you runnin your type r with the 1200 watts or the 900 at 2ohm? Cause when i get that viper amp i can run 1200 watts or 800 to my sub.
