Can i get a rough estimate??

Hi i was just wondering if someone out there could get me a rough estimate on how muc it will cost to get my amp repaired.

Here are the facts i know so far:

The amp is a Hifonics 1206d.

I have recently learned that i have been running it at a ohm lvl it cant handle.

And if i turn my bass remote past about 5db with my volume at about 80%, my amp switches to protect mode.

i have set my subs to 1 and 4 ohms in addition to running the subs in parrellel. but all situations have the same end result... the amp goin to protect mode.

This is getting very frustrating and i was hoping for some advise. Also I was just wondering if someone has a amplifier repair shop or something similar has happened to them and can tell me how much it cost them... im deliberating on whether to get this one repaired or just scratch it and buy a new one! plz help!

I would say scrap the hifonics. Buy a real amp. Others will say im full of shit and dont know what Im talking about, but do a search on hifonics and see what comes up.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

I agree with chucku in a sense, more then not I see hifonics amps in for repair, because they seem to not like being pounded on, DD, American Bass, Kicker, Memphis those amps love abuse and keep on ticking, and if you do buy a new amp let me know I have a few on hand that wouldnt break the bank and will satisfy your needs and be an upgrade replacement for that hifonics...
