My setup is ::

Subs :

3 JL audio w3v2's

400.1 kicker ZX amp

750.1 Kicker ZX amp

Speakers :

Polk audio 5 1/4's front + rear speakers

200.4 Kicker ZX amp

What I wanted to do was add in these tweeters :

Would these be okay to add in or will they crackle/distort or cause any problems to the system, seeing that it is a pretty high power system.

Also, if I did add these in I would splice the front tweeters into the front speakers and the rear tweeters into the rear speakers right?? Also, if I did that would the tweeters also be powered by the amp and wouldnt be a problem?? Or will I need to buy a seperate amp to power the tweeters?? I'm a little confused. If someone could help me 'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Okay, So I can power them from the same amp. Will I need to get a more powerful amp to put out more power since im now splitting the wattage between 8 speakers instead of 4??

Also, how exactly does a passive crossover work?? I just install it and thats it?

I just put the speaker wires to ''in'' then put the wires for the speakers to ''Mid'' and the tweeter speaker wires to ''TW'' ?? And thats it??

Will putting in this crossover keep the tweeters from crackling?? ATM I have 2 tweeters hooked up and when I turn the volume up loud they crackle hardcore and sound TERRIBLE. Will this fix the problem?

Sounds good. I appreciate it guys. 2 last questions and thats it! I promise! =)

Will I need 2 sets of them because I have 2 pairs of tweeters? (2 upfront and 2 rear)

Anyone have an answer to this? I'm kinda stuck..

yes, to properly play at a passive crossover's crossover point, you will need ONE crossover for EACH set (1 mid, 1 high) of speakers. If you wire more than the set amount of speakers to a passive, you change the ohm output, and that DOES have an effect on the crossover point.
