Can I do this with a cell phone?

Unlock your Samsung without a cable.

Just got my S307 tonight and had enough spare time to mess around and try to unlock it. Anyhow, this worked for my phone, and it seems like it should work for most Samsungs from what I've seen posted.

1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to, and turn it back on.

2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey. Choose number 7 (or 8 or 9 work, I think). Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.

3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.

4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it. Power back up your phone.

5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes.

might work

*2767*2878# -> Custom EEEPROM Reset

unlocked my t809!!! thanks

T809 : UFS read code + cable T809 + D600 + #7465625*638*Code#

Hi can anyone help me unlock a Samsung T809 and a Samsung s400i by code even if it is not free.... please advise

Thankyou

Here is the code: *2767*3855#

1. Put in Blocked SIM and start phone.

2. At the wrong card screen type in *2767*3855# phone goes back to wrong card screen.

3. Wait 10-15 seconds the phone will restart.

4. After restart your phone will be TEMPORARILY unlocked.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY UNLOCK! ONCE YOU TURN OFF THE PHONE IT GOES BACK TO THE DEFAULT SETTING.

YOU WILL NEED TO ENTER THE UNLOCK CODE AGAIN WHEN YOU TURN ON THE PHONE!

OR

Use a remote unlock service via IMEI # to have your phones permanant unlocked. You have to pay for it I found this website:

one of my friends older brothers had an older motorola phone (old silver and black models, non-flip) hacked so he could see statistics of the network he was connected to and stuff, like number of cells available/number of cells in use, etc.

Pretty neat stuff, not sure where he learned how to do that.

yeah on howardforums I guess you get banned when you ask how to unlock a phone so I wont be doing that lol. Thanks for all the good info though guys I'll try it out when I get the phone and we'll see if it works or not.

they're all the same if it takes a sim card, only difference in phones is whether or not it's internationally capable or not.
Not true... Cell phones work on 2 different networks. GSM/GPRS and CDMA. T-mobile and Cingular are the 2 main GPRS providers in the US. Sprint, Nextel, Verizon, ect all run on the CDMA network. These technologies are not compatible with one another. But phones for T-mobile can be unlocked to work on Cingular and vice versa. They will not work on CDMA networks though. Same goes for CDMA, a sprint phone can be unlocked and used on the Verizon network.

Ohh... And international compatible phones are only available on Tmoble and Cingular. Rest of the world uses the GPRS network.

Would a sidekick work on the Cingular network?
