those asian super market stores usually have those phones, at least around me, well if its unlocked then just swap the sims
Not true... Cell phones work on 2 different networks. GSM/GPRS and CDMA. T-mobile and Cingular are the 2 main GPRS providers in the US. Sprint, Nextel, Verizon, ect all run on the CDMA network. These technologies are not compatible with one another. But phones for T-mobile can be unlocked to work on Cingular and vice versa. They will not work on CDMA networks though. Same goes for CDMA, a sprint phone can be unlocked and used on the Verizon network.they're all the same if it takes a sim card, only difference in phones is whether or not it's internationally capable or not.

Ohh... And international compatible phones are only available on Tmoble and Cingular. Rest of the world uses the GPRS network.
as long as it uses a sim card and you can find a place/code to unlock it. helll i have a place down the street from me that charges like $20+ to unlock phones depending on model/popularity. they also repair phones too. guy gave me a discount just cuz i looked like a "nice guy". definitely impressed me.Would a sidekick work on the Cingular network?
