Can I cut my power wire to fit my fuse box?

Title says it all. My power wire doesn't fit into my fuse holder at my battery.

Please let me know if I can cut it to fit in alright.

Just upgrade the fuse holder, they are only about $5-$10. Cutting that much off would technically work but it's better to just do it the right way.

I just don't feel like ordering online again, isn't there some common store that would sell it like bestbuy or something?

BestBuy does have them, but they are marked up a good bit. There might be a local car audio store near you seeing you're in Orlando.

Some Walmarts have the Scosche In-Line Fuse Block PMFHIK - which claims to accept 4AWG

I don't think I would recommend cutting strands off. I think I have one that fits 4 ga I'll sell for 8.00 shipped. Pm if interested and I will double check the size and fuse

Cutting strands off raises resistance which raises voltage drop

Okay, so I ended up buying a kicker fuse box from bestbuy, a total rip off.

I have another question, I am right now using 10 gauge speaker wire, and cutting them at the tips so they can fit the wire connectors.

Is this an okay way to do it?

should be alright to do that for the speaker wire just dont cut off too much
