Can anyone see any problems with my proposed box?

Hey guys, just designing a box for my car. It will have the Dcon 12 and the box is about 1.5 cubic feet tuned to about 34hz. I have a couple questions im not sure about as this is the first time I have used a slot port.

-The mounting depth of the sub is 6 inches, there is only a couple inches to the back port wall is that a problem?

-Can the port wall come around behind the woofer like is it in my drawing?

-The two holes drawn on the front baffle, inside is cutout, outside is whole frame of the sub, isn't much material left, maybe 1/2 inch, is that ok?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can get by with as little as 1 inch from motor to box if need be so no problem there. Yes the port can extend beyond the back of the motor. I actually prefer it too fi possible. That way pressure from the sub hits the box and has to find its way out through the port. I don't know if it makes a difference but in my mind it does. My only concern is the 1.5. Seems a tad small for a 12.

That sub calls for 2.25 for enclosure.

thanks guys for the responses. I am getting a little worried about the small size of the box. I get 1.84 cubic feet gross, then i guess minus the mdf porting and such. I always do 3 or 4" PVC porting, the slot port is new to me. I am thinking I might need to use a different driver. In talking with CSCStang, he suggested maybe going with a Dayton 12" HO. I really can't go any bigger with the box, it's the family Subaru with 2 kids and we ski, camp, haul, etc. The biggest I can go outer dimensions is 24" wide x 15" high x 12" deep. It is so much easier making subs for home theater, the car stuff where space is at a premium sure makes it difficult.
