can anyone help me with my speaker problem?

...that i've had for the past 4+ months.

just a minute ago I wired my front 2 speakers to my pioneer amp (125wrms x 2 @4ohm) they are teh shitty pioneer 4-way gimmick speakers model ts-A6881 6x8.

before I had all 4 running off my pioneer dEH-p590ib, and all 4 speakers were heavily distorted during heavy vocals and guitar. Now that I have the front 2 hooked up to the amp, the right speaker is still awful...and i have a feeling the front left speaker is too--just not yet. is there any way to check wtf is wrong with my DMM or do I need a scope?

I am so tired of dealing with horrible sound. My buddy has a pair of kenwood door speakers I'm going to try tomorrow...is this what I should conclude?

A. pioneers sound awful attatched to HU and amp, kenwoods sound fine----BAD SPEAKERS

B. pioneers sound awful attatched to HU and amp, kenwoods sound awful too----BAD WIRING(i really hope not, i don't want to run new wire through the doors:furious

C. pioneers sound awful on both, kenwood sounds awful running off HU but sound good off the AMP----HU AMP sucks.

my only question about the whole thing is that when most people talk about their HU amp being shot, it usually means NO SOUND from speakers...i just get super distorted(crackling) highs...WTF!

well if only one speaker sounds messed up then you might of blown one out since i dont know how much power you got running to them...or it could be wiring.. or there could be clipping

depending on how their crossover quality is - they might be getting heavy distortion since they might be playing ranges they shouldnt or maybe they just cant take the power..
