Can amps blow noise filters?

Wondering if amps can blow noise filters if hooked up wrong, I do not want to test out another amp untill I can somehow know how this could have happened. TY

What kind of noise filter? If it's a ground loop isolator on the RCAs, then no. If it's a power line noise filter, then they have an amperage rating that you can't go over.
