Can a Ford Escape Hybrid handle a sub system?

I'm currently looking to buy a "new" used car. I found a pretty good deal for a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid, but as an audiophile I'm curious if a hybrid can handle a hefty sub system. The system I'm using is a 2400 Watt 4 channel Boss amp, some pioneer speakers at I think 300 RMS, and 2 alpine type s DVC subs at 600 watts rms each. I'm not familiar with hybrids, but from my understanding the ford escape hybrid is set up to collect electrical energy that in a normal car would go to waste. Would a sub system affect the performance of the hybrid part of the car and if so how much would it affect it?

that wont be anything to it. your boss amp is only real 240 watts total at best, even a lawnmower battery can power it. Audiophile and boss dont belong in the same paragraph btw. So feel free to add it. however there's a good chance your stock speakers will sound better than the pioneers.
