Camera inside the car?

I've come up with a clever way to monitor my car at all times. It consists of of an 802.11 wireless camera powered off of a 5v DC regulator. It will wireless connect to your access point and thus you can pull up the camera at any time.

My only problem is power. I've seen one model that needs 200mA and some that need 1A. How would I ultimately calculate how much power the camera will draw over a given time period?

hmm ive seen some guy on the web syncing his camera with his alarm so that at point of impact or break in attempt the amlarm triggers a relays an turn the cam era on. very cool gonna see if i can do that some how.
