Gross, I think. Took the outside dimensions of the box, subtracted 1.5" from each side for the thickness of the wood, and ended up with 6.53 cubes.

Trying not to sound like a dick here, but you'd take .75 off of each side, assuming your enclosure is made of 3/4" wood. Or did you mean 1.5" off of each dimension?
