Ok, i have all my stuff...installed. I built the box myself, and installed the subs and it's all in my car. (lol, the box was so big for my truck, i had to take out the passenger seat to cram it in) Ne wayz...the box is 33.5" wide, 16" deep, and 23.5" tall (external dimensions) I built it separate chambers, so it's divided in the middle. My ports for each chamber are 4x4 and 11" long...ports are firing towards the ceiling(subs are faced forward) The ports use the back corners of the box wall as part of the port wall. My box was made with 3/4" MDF, wood glue, 2.5" screws, and i caulked the entire inside seams. The subs are 2 12" edk's dual2ohm. Wired for 2ohm load to my jbl600.1 and i reset my gains...absolutely no bass boost...it's set at about 50-60hz lowpass crossover and i have an inline 20hz subsonic filter. (and when i got the dimensions for the box, when jmac was here...he told me it would be 2.5ft^3 per chamber tuned to 34z)
OK, that's my entire box and amp set up so u can tell me if i did ne thing wrong there.
THE fukkin problem is, when i play stuff... it's like one sub is a fraction of a second later than the other. Plus, it doesn't get as loud as i thought it should be...it's almost like my 2 12" mtx6000s in a pre-fab sealed box were kinda louder on some stuff.(i KNOW this can't be) The subs being delayed is waht is really pissing me off. Also, it seems like the subs "vibrate" when they hit hard(i don't know b/c i've never heard it b4...but i guess this is tinsel slap)
Thanks everyone for all the help, u guys are the experts and i need help to make my system sound the best it can! peace
