For those of you who use a circle saw... how do you use it to make straight cuts besides the old skool method of clamping down a piece of wood...

I just went out and bought a $60 clamp up to 58", but I realized that isnt going to be big enough to rip a sheet...

What methods do you guys use??

are we talking no table saw? just a "skil" saw?

laser line + steady hand = "Skil" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i try to have the guy working the panel saw at lowes or homedepot do as much of my cutting for me as possible lol otherwise the straight edge and clamp method works, its time consuming but much better than eye ballin it and being way off

and a reference line worked for me

allllrighty then.. guess im doin it with the clamps...

any of you ever use a jig saw instead of the circle saw (is a jig saw a skil saw?) just curious

doin the build tomorrow.. returning this guide... although it is nice that is already has a clamping device on it, but not worth $70 bucks!!

I just hate having to account for the circle saw plate... i think its like 1 1/8", so I gotta account for that when I measure every cut!

thanks guys
