That is pretty messed up. It makes me think mechman makes 'the same' alternators for every car, just in different cases.if i keep it revved at 800 i tend to lose about .1 mpg a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 700 doen't see a difference but still can't use a/c at idle without voltage dropping. Stock idle = 90 amp mechman = 60 idle online service book says i need minimum 90 at idle, but they said no refund b/c mine is special order what kinda shit is that? not my fault they didn't do research to see how much i NEED at idle. I was under the impression it was going to be 150 @ idle at least that's what i was emailed

Either
A: DB-r was drunk when he made this thread
B: DB-r was high when he made this thread
C: DB-r apparently isn't that great at what he does

Maybe it has to do with cooling a vehicle that runs all day every day. Maybe they are easier to make being larger.I talked to Rob for a good long while before buying my alt, they guy knows his stuff. His main business is doing alts for busses and other city vehicles that have high current demands, I believe. I would like to hear the conversation between you two so that I can learn more about alts and what he does to make them better. Let us know what you find out, it would be a good read.
I have used DC for about a year now, no problems. Best alts i've had so far. My daily driver alt took about a week. And the dual alt kit for my Expedition took about a week and a half. But that was a year ago before they were as popular and busy as they are now.So those who went DC, how long was the wait?
I guess no one really. Only person or company that has posted that I seen was DC. So I guess DC is good then. Being he has been giving Vid's of what he has been testing and how.So who has been deemed good and bad?
This is a screwed up vid. it's showing the same amperage whether or not the system is putting power or not... lol WTF!
