Calling B.S. on all these HO alternators

if i keep it revved at 800 i tend to lose about .1 mpg a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 700 doen't see a difference but still can't use a/c at idle without voltage dropping. Stock idle = 90 amp mechman = 60 idle online service book says i need minimum 90 at idle, but they said no refund b/c mine is special order what kinda shit is that? not my fault they didn't do research to see how much i NEED at idle. I was under the impression it was going to be 150 @ idle at least that's what i was emailed
That is pretty messed up. It makes me think mechman makes 'the same' alternators for every car, just in different cases.

I hope he knows that different model cars are different, its like reheating tacos in the microwave for 30 seconds, then reheating a cheesestake for 30 seconds, then when its cold he says "i've always done it this way, but I never make cheese stakes, yours was special so go !@#$ yourself"

Either

A: DB-r was drunk when he made this thread

B: DB-r was high when he made this thread

C: DB-r apparently isn't that great at what he does

D: I think I'm going to start thinking twice about buying used sundown from db-r.com....

Why you say this. Did you read this thread. All of it???

I talked to Rob for a good long while before buying my alt, they guy knows his stuff. His main business is doing alts for busses and other city vehicles that have high current demands, I believe. I would like to hear the conversation between you two so that I can learn more about alts and what he does to make them better. Let us know what you find out, it would be a good read.
Maybe it has to do with cooling a vehicle that runs all day every day. Maybe they are easier to make being larger.

So those who went DC, how long was the wait?
I have used DC for about a year now, no problems. Best alts i've had so far. My daily driver alt took about a week. And the dual alt kit for my Expedition took about a week and a half. But that was a year ago before they were as popular and busy as they are now.

Your batteries needs to be charged after burbs too. And I think there is music playing too.

I got my tracking for my alternator two days ago and its going to be here today in the afternoon. I cannot wait. He is sending a new belt too. package tracking makes me more anxious. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I think Rob is really busy because he is always on the road when I get emails back from him. Also, he has to wait for other people (machinists or suppliers) to get their parts done to get his alternators built. People, these alternators are built when you order so think about if there were 10 people that ordered right before you. They have to get theirs built first then you. Also, Rob does manufacturing for industrial use stuff too, I think.
