Ive tried to download many things lately for my laptop but for some reason they all get to about 15% then i get this error and then my download stops. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

How am i supposed to scan for any viruses and stuff when i cant download any virus updates or removers?

you don't have a virus scanner all ready installed? Just go ahead and run it if you do, if you don't have somesort of anti-virus software, or firewall you really need to invest into that. They only want you to update just to be safe, but running the anti-virus software from where it lasts update was should be fine just to find something......

No i just realized i have no kind of virus protection no norton or anything. Can you stuff like this over aim can someone send me one?

ummmm. I downloaded a free version of AVG, but again you said you can't download anything. You might want to get something from a buddy locally.

Use a different browser. I'm guessing you're using IE?

Try downloading something through console ftp or with wget for windows here. For example navigate to a website that has the file you wanna download, view the source to see the href of the link, and use that as wget's first argument....e.g.,

c:\> wget http://www.aol.com/virus.exe

NSIS is just an installer. The error means the data wasn't what it was supposed to be, meaning the downloaded data was just corrupted OR some program/virus/trojan/malware is corrupting the data that's being written to the file.
