And who ever else wants to chime in.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The pro 60's are what i'm going to go with an i was think of using the new soundstream ref2.640. (190x2). First ?? is what amps are you guy's using??2nd?? how much power can these REALLY take?

Thankx for the info.

ran a kicker 550.2, they took the power fine, but I had to cross them pretty high to crank on them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

they are great comps and can handle a pretty good amount of power. I was running 170 watts per side when I had mine.

I have no dealing with the Pro 60's but i have 2 sets of the SPZ50s in my SUV ran off of a Zapco ref1000.4 and although loud they struggle keeping up with my 18" FI BTL ran off of a SAZ 3000d. I thought the Zapco would be enough but it doesn't seem so as i've heard these are very power hungry. My previous MB Quart QSD 216 seem to be louder ran off of an Eclipse 800.4 amp?????????

I have Pro 60's in the rear running off an Arc Audio 4100 bridged. It's 185 per channel, plus the speakers are 3 ohms, adding about 25%. They handle it easily, but they lack a little mid bass.

I ran a set of Pro 60s (blue cone) active for a couple of years with 225w to each mid and about 50w each to the tweets. They played LOUD and sounded great. At reasonable volumes, I could set the crossover as low as 63hz and get good midbass out of them, but at high volumes, I would usually do 80hz and up.

Then a few months ago I upgraded my amps, giving the mids 300 each and the tweets about 80 or so. It wasn't long before I fried one of the mids.

Sometimes I listen to my stuff retarded loud.

That should give you an idea of the power handling. I was impressed with them for a long time. I recently replaced them with JL ZRs, but my truck is still in pieces right now, so I haven't been able to listen to them in there yet to offer a comparison.
