hey I've got a txa-1000d and it says it has an output of 1000 @ 1ohm @ 13.8v

My jeep alty puts out 14.4v so will this effect it? so will the amp be drawing 14.4 v from the alty and thus have a higher output than 1000watts? Also does anybody know what the true output of this amp is? i heard it was 1300 watts @ 1 ohm.Thanks for help!

* 4 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 350 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

* 2 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 650 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

* 1 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 1000 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

* 2 Amps Bridged 2 Ohm RMS Power: 2000 Watts

* Frequency Response: 20Hz - 500Hz

* Damping Factor: >500 @ 100Hz

* S/N Ratio: >100 db

* Damping Factor: >500 @ 100Hz

* Minimum THD:

* Dimensions: 25" x 9.2" x 2.12"

the more volts the more power essentially. I dont remember if its regulated or unregulated???? stupid but I dont remember. anyhow yes I hear this amp does its rated power at 13.8 and more at 14.4. someone else can chime in, but thats all I got for now.

Just because your alty puts out 14.4, You may only be getting 13.8 or back to the amp. To make sure you get enough power to the amp be sure to take a few minutes and do the big three upgrade, and make sure that your power cable is a big fat one. The difference in 13.8 and 14.4 could net you 100 watts or more with that amp.
