Cadence-good or junk??

Yup with $1500 I plan on getting either one 15inch sub, or two 12inch for the bass, I need 6.5 componant set for the front, and either 1 or 2 amps to run the system.
Currently I have A pretty nice Memphis setup to sell so I will have that money for other stuff like the hu and hushmat ect..
Just want to let you know that more subs do not mean more bass. More cone area does //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

So what would you guys get?

I like pop music mostly, the only hard rock I like is Def leopard. I am going for loud but deep clear hitting bass.I would like loud clear fronts but not like the high whining sounds.Set me up with whatever you guys think. I wouldn't mind doing one 15inch tho if possible. Again, I have a 370z and will be getting a custom install so I really wanna do it right.

Also if I don't have to spend $1500 that's cool, but I am prepared to

ok now b4 anyone gets in a wad.... This is not a push so stfu...

12" zeus subs... very tight punchy bass and they work well sealed or ported and IMO and several of my ( formerly ) JL nutthugger customers are better sounding and louder than the W3 are...

they only need 300 rms ( rated at 500 and will take 750ish done right ) ... and they can be had fairly cheap...

and they are dual spider subs... ( 2 sets of spiders spaced apart to allow for higher excursion and maintain optimal cone control )

this is just 1 example of a decently priced portion of the setup..

there are at least a dozen other options all w/in your budget from any number of dif companies as well..

That's because the w3 is a ****** sub

I am a JL hater from years ago and still am, but not because they make junk, they have overinflated prices...

they make great quality stuff that is every bit as good as some others out there... but 1000$ for a sub that is no better than a competitors 200-250$ sub is ghey azz shizzle...

x2 you can get 1/0 gauge wiring kit & RCA cables, a 4 channel amp, a subwoofer amp, new headunit, 4 new main speakers and perhaps a second battery in the trunk(which I recommend).
What would you set up if you had this car? I don't know what real quality verses bad quality is.I am gonna rely on you guys to gather my info from. If you wanna post a complete system I would greatly appreciate the help.I guess I am going for the best bang for the buck, I am not a huge system guy but I don't like junk either.Something simple, low loud bass, clear sound.

I will refrain here and let others speak...
they all know what i would recommend for a good quality budget setup...lol

I am sure they will get you a nice lil setup going tho..
Hey I am listening. I would like to see your set-up as well.btw here is what I currently own, I was gonna sell it but maybe its nicer than I think.

SUBS: 2-12inch subs-4 ohm

ACT Audio of Vernon, CT. - Memphis M1 Series Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coil Subwoofer, Dual Voice Coil Subwoofers, M1-D4

4 ohms, 200watts peak power, 100watts continues

With crossover and tweeters

Sub Amp:

WoofersEtc.com - 16-MAD1000 - Memphis 1100 x 1 Class D Marine Subwoofer Amplifier

Speaker Amp:

WoofersEtc.com - 16-MA3004 - Memphis 75 x 4 Class AB Full Range Marine Amplifier

BOX I COULD USE WITH THESE SUBS: its the dual 12 inch up fire

http://www.zenclosures.com/Nissan_370Z_UPFIRE_Subwoofer_Enclosure_p/370zupfire.htm

I used to have this setup in my grand prix. Maybe this is a good set-up? The amps seem to be spendy and the subs are great for small spaces like I have with the 370z.The hertz look cheep but I don't know much about them. The amps are marine I know but work just as well.

Would you guys use this set-up in the 370?Thanks for helping guys.I do appreciate it

If I were you I would browse the classifieds. You can find some awesome deals... if you are content with getting used products then you can save some bucks and get some high quality stuff. If not... you can still find some great deals on new equipment.

Now I'm not sure what kind of brands you are looking for. There are the popular brands like Alpine, Kenwood, Kicker, etc which you can't really go wrong with. Then there are the lesser known companies that primarily have their products featured online. I'll throw some of them out there... Digital Designs, Ascendant Audio, Audioque, Sundown, CDT... search the forums for 10 mins and you'll find many more.

if you liked what you already have give it a shot 1st..

thats what i would do unless you want more than you had //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

no need to spend money if you do not have to.

The only thing I didn't like were the headlights dimmed a lot from the memphis amps. The problem is I don't know how to piece a system together, that's what I want you guys to do so I can see what you did and learn. The rms and watt thing and ohms confuse me
