So the hole was to big for sub and you checked it and confirmed it and screws are going in at 45 degrees to even make it work and now its ok and you are running it ?

They're in on angles, yes. It's holding, and still sounds great.

I suggest physically measuring the cutout in the shipping box. That's a perfect fit.
