Which brings the next question. Will Luck be the colts next Peyton?I didn't think they'd keep him around with that number 1 pick coming in.
Smart business move. Maybe not so smart in a football sense.(if he can/does still play)
The only thing Manning has that isnt possibly gone, is his knowledge of the game. And thats his main strength anyway. Someone with a young up-and-coming QB (not some "star" rookie) would be smart to pay him for a few years just to have him around their QB so that they could learn.Yes, it was .... and I don't think Peyton will ever be "The Franchise" again anymore than Montana was after the Niners gave him the boot.Prolly still be a pretty solid QB, but the glory days are over.
And, HEYULL no, Luck won't be the Colts next star! He'll be lucky not to be beaten out of the starting spot, lol.
($28 million will buy a couple of 'stars') //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
the dude that the raiders had for ever that totally ******. Can't even remember his name right now. But I remember readin that they paid him tons of money, and he ****** so bad, that it equaled up to like $700k per touchdown over 5 years. LolLets see:
Chris Weinke
Joey Harrington
Cade McCnown
Daunte Culpepper
Thats only a few fails. There tons more. Being great in college is totally differant than the big leagues. Like some one already said
a FEW years yes. Who knows how that neck will hold up when he is out there being trampled. Hell it could take one good hit and his career would be over..no one knows. So its a gamble for who ever decides to take him. Someone will, but giving him a ton of money might not be the best business decision in the end.Wherever Manning winds up he will fill the stadium, and THAT is a smart business move. If his neck is actually 100 percent, he still has a few years left in him.
jamarcus Russell?the dude that the raiders had for ever that totally ******. Can't even remember his name right now. But I remember readin that they paid him tons of money, and he ****** so bad, that it equaled up to like $700k per touchdown over 5 years. Lol
