BX1000D for 2 12L7s?

Sorry, I tried to edit the other thread, but I guess you can't edit titles. Mods feel free to delete.

Anyway, I was planning on selling my current setup of BX1000D and 2 MA Audio 120XEs and buying a BXI2006D and running 2 15L7s. However, there are 2 12L7s on the classifieds forum. I wanted 15s, but if I can run the 12s off of my current amp, the $$$ savings would be well worth sticking with the 12s. If I'm going to have to upgrade the amp anyway, I might as well hold out for 15s. Thanks!

i had a bx1500d on 2 L7's and it wasent enough, thats why im upgrading right now, save yourself the hassle

That answers my question for sure! Thanks man! If I'm going to have to upgrade the amp anyway, I'm definitely gonna hold out for 15s!

Nevermind that thought! After shopping around, I can't find a pair of 15" L7s for anything less than about $450 shipped. Then, the BXI2006D will be about $360 shipped. That's more than I can swallow.

I bought the 2 12L7s in the classifieds. Now, I can grab a BXI1605D for around $260 or so shipped. In the end, I'll save about $350 by sticking with 12s. 15s aren't worth $350, at least not to me.

I thought about getting a Bxi2006D also, but then it was like.. Why get a 2000 watt overrated amp, just spend the extra money and get a XX Herc... it actually does 2000 TRUE watts , not like 1700 - 1800 like the bxi and you can get them around $450

I haven't seen a benchtest on one yet, but from everything I hear, the nex BXI series puts out the rated wattage, unlike the older ones.
