Buying the BEST subs for my truck~ Help needed

hey i was just wondering what was the best subs I could get for about $300 for my truck, its a 2004 ford ranger extended cab. I was told to get bazooka subs but im just wondering what else there is that are around $300 and hit hard for the price. Thx

Bazooka? C'mon, your beggin' to be flamed! You need to do your research. There aren't any best subs, just what your preference and your budget allows.

do a search for budget subs and get a general idea then go to http://www.realmofexcursion.com or http://www.youtube.com to get a general idea of what they are like. but most will recommend type r's but you can try audioque sd2.5 it really depends on what you want to be loud (spl) or to have sound quality (sq)

how much space are you willing to give up?

what do you want for sound? (sq, sql, spl)

For first setups i usually see alpine products (esp. the type r) but like i said research and you'll see lots more and understand what drivers can do which types of things.

what are you looking for from this system? What is your TOTAL budget for the setup (Sub(s), Amp(s), wiring, are you installing a new front stage, are you buying a new HU, can you build your own box)? What kind of music do you listen to?

These questions all need to be answered before we can give you any kind of good advice.
