Hello,

Im new to this whole car audio thing and let me start off by saying that I pretty much know the basics around the car and stuff but Im pretty dumb when it comes to buying gear for my car. (car stereo, amps, subwoofer, speakers,)

So ok...I have a PT Cruiser 2002 and it came with a Jensen car stereo. (50 watts X4)

It also came with a pair of Kick Panels that can fit a 6 1/2 speaker and a tweeter.

Pretty much like the picture above.

The panels dont have the speakers or the tweeters though and Im looking to buying some. But I do know that I need an amp for that. So far...I wanna spend as little money as I can...So Im looking at this BOSS AUDIO 2 CHANNEL 200 WATT MOSFET AMPLIFIER

Will it be enough?

Im not looking for a super loud sound system...Just something that will get peoples attention once in a while. ANY responses will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

First thing you should know is that that BOSS amp won't put out anything near 200 watts.... more like 20 per channel IF THAT.

If that's the power you need, then that'll be fine.

Dont buy boss! lol

I got an MA audio amp for sale that does 225x2 for 75 bucks shipped if your interested in that at all

How loud do you want them to get really? You dont NEED an amp to run speakers

ok well all I know is that my head unit is a Jensen. I also have a Kenwood KDC-128 but its not installed on my car.

I know that I dont NEED an amp for my factory speakers but I wanna add at least two more component speakers so for that I DO need an amp.

And my budget on just the amp is like...umm $150 or so. But the cheaper the better.

How many speakers do you plan on getting

Mine is a two channel so you can connect two speakers to it.

There are mono sub amps

2 channel speaker amps

4 channel speaker amps

and even a few 5 channel amps (I would just get a 4 channel for my speakers and a mono for my sub rather then doin this but...)

Here is the amp I am selling. Its in great condition and was only used for a few months I am pulling it out of my car tomorrow so I can send you some pics if you want.

well since I have the kick panels I would like to be able to add the two speakers and the pair of tweeters...

And maybe possible a subwoofer for the bass.

You wont be able to do all that for 150 dollars

I would go with a two channel amp and a set of component speakers (they come with tweeters) for now then save up another 200 or so and get a mono amp and sub
