Buy it or no buy it? memphis's for the lady

Well, buddy of mine works at a local car audio shop called mobile radio. He's gonna give his system an overhaul, and is putting his two 10" memphis subs (250RMS) in a sealed box up for sale, i told him i would give him 100 bucks for it, but what do you guys think?

It would be going in the girlfriends car, and she doesnt need anyting too outrageous. Figured it would suit her okay. I have a kenwood amp in the garage that does 800wrms (not too much, is it?)

oh also, he's replacing them brand new btw. his warranty covers his "broken" (not) subs, and he works there, so theres no one to stop him hehe. so yeah both brand new memphis 10's. they sounded alright in his blazer only on a 300wrms amp.
