Busted RE HC Please help

Yes it was a private sale. I know he didnt send it that way because he sent it in an mdf box. The sub was facing up and screwed on with 4 screws on each side of the mdf box. And under the magnet he only had some styrofome. Ill bet one drop and the thing busted right away. The magnet is so heavy and pulled it down, it was just too much for the basket. I know he will say it is not his fault and that I should have asked for insurance.

What Im trying to do right now is put a piece of wood in the box behind the magnet to push on it. I think this will help.

find someone who knows how to weld, if your a good welder you can set your machine on low and tack it slowly, allowing it to cool after every tack. it should be good as new.

Honestly ... those things are pretty strong and must have went through hell to get like that. Shipping companies fault or not, I don't know ...

How was it packaged ?

Was there pictures exchanged before purchase ?

I mean I've seen some boxes come to me beat right to hell and back ... inside they're packaged perfectly and the product is in mint condition.

That looks like that potmetal shit, if Im not mistaken. And if it is that stuff is hard to weld. I for one hate it they make bycycle and motercycle brake and clutch handles outa that stuff, always break on me, and ya just one weak spot in the metal and a little drop with the wieght of the moter would cause it to do that.
