i had a 12 L5 (1200 MAX)in a ported box powered by a

Kenwood KAC-X811D (1600 MAX)at first it sounded good it was pounding the sub no problem then th evoice coils started to burn i could smell it and then the sub would stop working. after about 30 minutes it would work again but then it started clipping. so i took it out and bought a Kenwood KFC-3514DVC (1500MAX)this sub took it better than the L5 one day i wanted to test it and turned up the amp and the setting on the stereo and it was hitting hard it made my stereo skip but after about 30 mins of hitting hard it shut off and this time and wouldnt come back on so i took it out and when i did it was hot left it to sit for an hour came back to put it back on and it was still warm. Is the amp to much for the subs?

both subs connected at 2 Ohms. I was thinking of a Type R or a Pioneer Premier TS-W2504SPL What subs do you recommed???

im not gonna look up RMS ratings on all those comps. max power is a bullshit rating and speakers will never even see that kinda power. give RMS ratings so we can better answer your question

id prolly go with the pioneers, heard 2 12s off a ppi 1500.1 and was focking loud and clean
