1 15" Vs 2 12"

I just got a 99 tahoe, have a hifonics 1600watt amp.. Im not sure if I should get a single 15" or 2 12s.. Ive been looking at a single RL-P 15" or like 2 12" Arsenals or Type Rs... Both set ups will be ported with pretty much unlimited box size... Which set up will get louder? Will the 15 suffer with sq over the 12s? If anyone has a 15" RL-P some feedback would be great..Also will the 1600watts be to much for the 15 rlp?

i would do a single 15, but i dunno if it would get louder, 2 12s will have more cone area, but your giving each half the power and spending almost twice as much.

1 15 rlp is about as much as 2 12 Rs...

I have an '01 Tahoe with 2 L7s on 2000wrms in 6^3ft @ 32hz. They are crazy loud, but they don't have the SQ I'm looking for. I'm ditching them for 1 15" Mag. Take from that what you will. I'm not suggesting either route, just giving my experiences.
