Burning DVD's. Never done it before, any tips or tricks?

Ive had this computer forever, and its got a dvd burner and Ive got nero installed. Ive got these "Blue Planet" national geo dvds and Id like to make copies of them for my sister, theres 10 dvds.

Is there a certain way to do it other than just in Nero pushing burn, like are ALL mainstream dvds copywrited and wont let me do this?

Id appreciate any help, pms work to.

you need nero vision for this if you dont have it already. it wont put chapters by itself its an option in there you have to find. i havent used nero in a few years. i use convert x to dvd myself. reason being you just drag and drop the files in the program and press convert. it puts chapters and burns the dvd on its own. nero vision does work pretty good though. i dont know what cpu your using but if you have to convert the files it can take awhile along with slow down the pc quit a bit. if these are dvds and dont need converting it will straight burn and take maybe 15 min.

use dvd shrink to rip it and then use nero to burn it.

dvd shrink "rips" it off the cd and then onto my computer? then I use nero to go from harddrive -> dvd r?

ligher + dvd-r = burnt dvd

So you made a thread because it wasn't right (and it wasn't) what Fast85Moustache did, then you make another thread looking for help to do something similar (I'm not judging, cause I do it). Nothing like hypocrisy.

anydvd+dvdshrink+dvd decrypter

anydvd is for the copy protection

dvd shrink rips it from the disc to the drive in iso format

dvd decrypter burns the iso to a disc

i always used anydvd + clonedvd 2

or one-click dvd copy and anydvd

I always just used anydvd + dvdshrink (assuming Nero is installed). Just open dvdshrink and go through the instructions. It should do everything on its own.

use the lowest burn rate because that usually gives you the best quality

use dvd shrink to rip it and then use nero to burn it.

This method is 99.5% effective. It even kicks the DVD out for you to put the blank in.

DVD Shrink + whatever burning program you want to use. There has only been 1 or 2 dvd's that dvd shrink hasn't worked for me.
