burning a dvd

im trying to burn a dvd. there is 2 parts. both parts are about 6500MB. and the dvd holds about 4700MB. is there any way i can put the first part on the first dvd. and make the first part smaller, but not delete any part of the movie.

excellent place to learn about burning. dvd shrink will let you put it on 1 disc. so will nero, but i think shrink does a better job.

use a dl or dvd 9. still would have to compress tho

lets see if im getting this correctly...you have 2 separate video files...each is about 6400 or w/e it was? You could try using shrink to reduce the size/quality like kc said, then use 2 dvds...

now it saying dvd shrink that cant open the file, since the movie file isnt showing up. when i click on the folder, its empty.

exactly. it has to be in dvd format. you need to convert it first. i use vso divxtodvd. it's free.
