Bumping up SPL with 2 SA 12s

I'd say get access to an oscope and actually set your music to its proper point. I'm pretty sure you are undergained. Another thing you can do is invert the subs to gain some airspace.

Dont go out there and cranking the gains blindly though... Definitely invest in an oscope if you can. OR use a piezo tweeter.



Inverting is turning the sub around so its @ss is sticking outwards. Benefits is, better cooling, you will smell coils a lot faster when really pushing them, along with a few cubic feet airspace gained for your enclosure specs which might affect output (positively or negatively would be subjected to experimentation)

oh so downward firing it? ahha! ive honestly thought of that when i had the alpines, i kinda like the look of it

 
I may have missed this, but you have 12.5 inches of port area for 2 SA-12s? That's not nearly enough, that's not even enough port area for one SA.

not sure exactly what mine is, it was made for 2 type Rs however, will be getting new box soon anyways tuned i bit higher
