bump in the trunk

K, I have a 1999 honda passport, and I want a good system that will thump, wont be in competitions right now, I just need recommendations, I narrowed it down to 2, MTX 9500 or Kicker L7. thinking about two 12's or 1 15. I guess I need to know which one will be the cheapest route/more bass, I read many reviews on the 9500 and the L7, and I must say... its hard to determine LOL... also, got a side question, why do some people by papercone subs for competitions? aint that a weak material? what materials do you generally recommend looking for in a sub. one 15L7 and an appropriate amp...

the enclosure will make all the difference, so spend more time getting the enclosure right than deciding on the equipment

Look in to the new Havok subs.

MTX 9500:

- Xmax = 25.6mm

- Sd = 867.15 sq-cm

Kicker S15L7

- Xmax = 16.1mm

- Sd = 1056 sq-cm

Havok 15

- Xmax = 30mm

- Sd = 810 sq-cm

The 9500 series are extreme, i've seen them take the most punishment possible with out getting destroyed, i'd take that over the kicker anyday.

ehh id take the kicker but ive never personally owned the 9500. those havocs look awesome too.
