I'm needing to assemble my box for my sub. I was planning on just running a bead of liquid nails and then putting some 2 inch wood screws every inch an a half or so... is that good/bad/overkill/etc.

i cant stress it enough, i did a side by side comparision with it vs gorilla glue and titebond was 10x better than the ape

the ape is good for not so perfect cuts,

NO. Titebond or any other wood glue. Not liquid nails, not gorilla glue.

To OP, dont need every 1.5". 4-5" would be fine.

thats why you go over the inside with something like liquid nails or silicone, but for strength use titebond

To OP, dont need every 1.5". 4-5" would be fine.

as long as you clamp the wood long enough you dont even need screws.

Yes, but it makes assembly easier and faster.
