Built First Box - Sub Hole Size

I just completed the majority of my box, except for the two sub cutouts.

I'm putting in two Hifonics HFi12D4's in there. They're 12" subs.

How big should I cut the holes? I don't have the subs yet, but I want to have the box done.

Wait until you get the subs, or check manufacturer's specs for hole size cut out diameter.

You need to wait for the subs to do the proper cutout size.

lol 12in will not work.. the sub will practicly fall in the hole.. wait for the sub and do test fits over and over... dont over do it because u cant go back( well very easy)... just use the measurements it gives u and divide it by to and measure a string and put a nail on the other end( say it says 11 in you make a string 5.5 in long and put the nail in the center point and on the other end put a pencil or sharpie or a guide of some sort. that should help alot and trim as little at a time as u can.

I have a pair, I grabbed the instructions, 10.94", so make it 11"

Just built some boxes for JL 12s and Kenwood 12s and the cutouts were 11-1/16 and 11-1/8. Might help.
