ok just got myself a new Fusion with sync and I love sync, but the sound system in general is a big step down from my setup I had in my old focus.
not looking to break the bank, but would like to do a mild upgrade. Big thing is I want to keep the OEM appearance and of course I want to keep sync.
my budget is 500-700 so not a ton of cash to work with, but I did my focus for that with a HU and was very good in my opin so I think its doable.
what i'm thinking atm but I'm looking for input haven't done a car audio system in 8 years.
Looking at getting a PAC Amplifier interface.
Fronts i'm looking into just getting a basic component setup, rears I'm leaving stock. Subs i'm thinking that tangband makes a nice 6x9 sub from what I read, and the fusion has 6x9 cutouts in the rear deck of the car. was thinking throwing 2 of those in the back would be a fairly clean way of handeling the low end. would these be fine in a free air config or should I build a box behind them?
amp wise I'm most likely just going to track down a nice 4 channel amp and bridge 2 of the channels for the sub.
I'm completely open to other ideas though. I thought about maybe going the clean sweep route or MTX RE-Q but thats getting more complex wireing wise then I would like. I would prefer not to cutup the stock wiring harness too bad.
