budget upgrade for 2010 Fusion

ok just got myself a new Fusion with sync and I love sync, but the sound system in general is a big step down from my setup I had in my old focus.

not looking to break the bank, but would like to do a mild upgrade. Big thing is I want to keep the OEM appearance and of course I want to keep sync.

my budget is 500-700 so not a ton of cash to work with, but I did my focus for that with a HU and was very good in my opin so I think its doable.

what i'm thinking atm but I'm looking for input haven't done a car audio system in 8 years.

Looking at getting a PAC Amplifier interface.

Fronts i'm looking into just getting a basic component setup, rears I'm leaving stock. Subs i'm thinking that tangband makes a nice 6x9 sub from what I read, and the fusion has 6x9 cutouts in the rear deck of the car. was thinking throwing 2 of those in the back would be a fairly clean way of handeling the low end. would these be fine in a free air config or should I build a box behind them?

amp wise I'm most likely just going to track down a nice 4 channel amp and bridge 2 of the channels for the sub.

I'm completely open to other ideas though. I thought about maybe going the clean sweep route or MTX RE-Q but thats getting more complex wireing wise then I would like. I would prefer not to cutup the stock wiring harness too bad.

I haven't worked on anything with the Sync option, so I have no idea whether you'd need anything specific in order to keep it functional. How about something like this?

PAC loc: PAC SOEM-4 (soem4) - Premium Factory System Adaptors - Sonic Electronix $33

comps: CTX65CS - Image Dynamics 6.5" Component Speaker System $180

subs: IDQ10V2.D4 - Image Dynamics 10" IDQ Dual 4 Ohm Subwoofer $320

amp: MB QUART DSC4125 1000W 4-Channel Amplifier: VMInnovations.com $158

Should've probably went with cheaper equipment to allow money for wiring and deadener, but I didn't. Oh well...

if I went the route of just a 10 in a box, I could just reuse me old infinity kappa perfect 10 and USX 2150 amp I had in my focus. I know the amp I have has a pretty good following still (something to do with who designed it)

but yeah I looked at those comps and they are about what I was looking at.

this is the adapter I was looking at.

is that basically the same as you listed accept it comes with a wiring harness to hook right to the stock deck?

I was thinking a pair of the ID 10"s, bro. Note the price I listed (single sub is $160)

sorry been a long day. yeah I see that now. I Know that is way more bass then I'm looking for. the single 10 in my old car was about perfect.

I actually prefer the PAC unit you linked to be quite honest.

does anyone have any experience with tang band 6x9s? still keep coming back to them as a nice elegent way to keep all my trunk space. do they work well IB or do I need to build a box for them
