BTL tinsel slap....

has anyone else had trouble with tinsel slap? i didn't notice mine until today, it actually wore out holes into the spider where they were hitting. i've only been giving the sub maybe 2k true power after impedance rise.

i just sent scott an email...guessing im gonna have to send this back.

am i gonna need a recone and does the hi-xmax coil prevent tinsel slap? my btl is currently baseline, no options.

ya...im guessing this was the btls only design "flaw".

the tinsels being to short is really the only thing that i see could have caused this,unless you being beating it with like 20 hz at 2000 watts.

i have played lower than 20 hz, but only on short bursts, like 10 seconds max.

98% of the time im playing at tuning freqeuncy or above.

and yes im running the herc at .35, .reads .4 on the dmm.
